Dojo Rules

Dojos are sacred places and so must be respected.

Do not wear shoes in the dojo training area.

Do not enter class late or leave early without acknowledgement of the highest ranked instructor in the class.

No swearing, actions of disrespect, or breaching of rules.

Always train with the true attitude of Bushido.

Never misuse fighting skills and always help others.

Bow when entering or leaving training area of the dojo.

Address senior ranks by their correct titles.

When putting on or removing belt students should kneel on their right knee.
-
Higher ranks should set a good example for lower ranks.

During training, avoid idle talk between students.

During training students should be aware of their level of intensity of training and ensure it is at an appropriate level when partnered with another student, taking into consideration the other students' rank and ability

All students are to wear protective equipment during sparring - mouthguard, hand mitts and shin/instep protectors
